Life Balance Project: April

My theme for April is Refresh. My goals this month will focus on refreshing and revamping some of the changes I have already made. The deeper into this project I get, the more I’m starting to understand what works for me and what I want to achieve. So as I enter the fourth month of my Life Balance Project I am going to reassess some of the goals I have already achieved, as well as making new goals for the future. Below is a quick reminder of the 5 aspects of my life that I base my goals on.

  • Well being Goals and activities that improve my sense of well being. For example, goals focused around routines, yoga, meditation and self care.
  • Relationships My friends and family are so important to me. However this section will include meeting new people as well as strengthening the bonds I already have.
  • Personal Growth Developing habits or skills that will help me grow as a person.
  • Money Unfortunately it does make the world go around. These goals will revolve around budgeting and continuing to save for a house deposit.
  • Organisation These goals will focus on organising myself and my time better.

April Goals

Well being: Track my mood and things that may affect it

It feels like lately I’ve been a bit all over the place. My mood has been up and down, not necessarily bad but feeling unmotivated/stuck. For the month of April I’m going to track my mood and also things that may affect it such as sleep, healthy eating, exercise etc. I’m going to make a spread in my bullet journal and take a few minutes a day to fill it in.

Relationships: Try a new meetup or activity to meet new people

Its no secret that I love my meetups! When I set myself the goal of going to two meetups in January I honestly thought I might struggle. I surprised myself and ended up attending 7 different meetups over the month. I still go to meet ups but it tends to be with the same group. My goal for April is to try something new by either attending a new meetup group or trying an activity I haven’t tried before. As long as I meet new people, I don’t mind which!

Personal Growth: 30 before 30 list

Next November I turn 30. Eeek! The last few years I’ve really worked on pushing myself out of my comfort zone. Its done wonders for my anxiety, unfortunately you have to face fear to move past it… I wish I could go back 10 years and tell myself that! I feel calmer, stronger and more confident than I ever have before but I know I can do more. I’m going to write a list of 30 things I want to do before I turn 30. That gives me just over a year and a half go tick as much off as possible. They won’t all be big things, some will be smaller, silly things. I just hope I can think of 30 things! Suggestions are welcome =)

Money: Review and revamp budget

Ugh budgeting. Boring but necessary. If anyone knows a way to make it more interesting, do let me know! I’m going to review my budget and see what needs changing and where I can make more savings.

Organisation: Sort photos/files on phone and computer

In March I organised my physical clutter. For April I’m moving on to digital clutter. Files/photos/downloads etc. I’m hoping to go through everything and better organise whatever I decide to keep.

So there are my 5 goals for April. I’ll be updating my progress on here and twitter so feel free to follow along! Do you have goals for the month? Let me know what they are in the comments below =)

Take care,

Hayley x
